My artistic approache

Structure et Logic

I invent a structure to inhabit,
where thought illuminates movement.

Chance & Impulse

I let emerge what escapes me,
where the absurd becomes the driving force.

Nuance brings me grandeur, curiosity, and fulfillment. It is the space where reflection and impulse meet, where contradictions intertwine to create a unique movement. In this space, doubt is not an obstacle but an opening. It is within this blur, this undefined realm, that I find my truth. I am constantly seeking the tension between opposites: order and chaos, certainty and uncertainty.

As an emerging artist fresh out of school, I find myself at a pivotal moment where vulnerability is as present as affirmation. Paradoxically, it is an act of courage to lay oneself bare. It is an act of trust—both in myself and in the creative process. And it is within this dynamic that I assert myself. My artistic language is gradually taking shape, nourished by what I have received, explored, and discovered along the way. I seek landmarks without wanting to cling to them. I test, refine, doubt, and start over. I move forward with the awareness that everything is in motion—my desires, my sensitivity, my tools. And yet, some things remain: intuitions I recognize, recurring desires, deep driving forces. These are what anchor me, allowing me to create from what moves, without losing myself in instability.

I am a dance artist, fueled by a multitude of inspirations. I love concepts, games, and rules, but also mischief and the subversion of meaning. I enjoy defying expectations and surprising through movement. Dance becomes a playground for me, a space where rules can be followed or broken. Chance, the unexpected, and impulses are powerful drivers in my work, but the concrete and tangible must never be neglected. All of this creates an alchemy between reflection and instinct.

I draw inspiration from surrealism, particularly automatic writing, and I apply these principles to my dance practice. I explore bodily states where movement precedes thought, where intuition takes precedence over will. I enjoy working from physical impulses, letting gestures emerge that do not first pass through the filter of the mind. The body becomes a receiver, a transmitter, traversed by images, tensions, and impulses. But at other times, it is the idea that structures, the concept that paves the way, the thought that sculpts the form. There is a constant back-and-forth between instinctive drive and the clarity of intention. I love this tension between the thinking body and the acting body.

In this exploration of chance and randomness, I also seek to establish a kind of structure, a framework that gives meaning to the unexpected. Dance then becomes a game of perceptions, a balance between freedom of expression and the necessity of a framework. It is a space where the unexpected can emerge and transform movement. It is in this interplay between control and letting go that I find my inspiration, allowing the body to be deeply present in time and space, to explore vulnerability and power, and to accept that evolution does not always come from within us but sometimes from what transcends us.

My approach is based on a balance between logic and imagination. I use rational concepts and clear structures, which open infinite possibilities for the imagination. This framework becomes a playground, a space where creation can emerge from the absurd. Thus, dance transforms into a game between rules and transgression, structure and freedom, the predictable and the unexpected. It is within this tension that I find my beauty.
