Dance that takes itself too seriously should sometimes let its subconscious breathe.
Biography
Apolline Saulnier was born in Paris and trained in classical, jazz, and contemporary dance, building a rich and diverse technical foundation. She initially studied at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) in Paris, then at the École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM), where she graduated in May 2025.
During her training, Apolline had the opportunity to work with the material of renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Dana Gingras, Sofia Nappi, Carolyn Carlson, and Dominique Bagouet, which deepened her artistic approach and fueled her imagination. She stands out for her exploration of movement, which she sees as an endless source of creativity. Driven by curiosity and a thirst for new horizons, she draws inspiration from a wide range of thoughts and disciplines.
Her interest in logic and concepts, nurtured through various experiences, also shapes her artistic vision and enriches her interpretive approach. Passionate about creative processes, she seeks to refine her bodily sensations, deepen her technical precision, and explore the instinctive impulses that arise in artistic work. The next step in her journey is to further develop her interpretation by surrounding herself with the expertise of an artistic team.
